Jasper MORRIS, 2019: Further Tastings from the Côte de Nuit
LA FORGE DE TART 1er CRU

A very fresh and ripe nose offers up notes of black cherry, cassis and a touch of earth, all of which is wrapped in just enough wood to remark upon. There is impressively good mid-palate density to the relatively elegant middle weight flavors that possess a suave mid-palate texture before concluding in a saline-inflected and slightly warm finale. While not a Morey villages in the true sense of the term, this is still quite impressive for its declared level.
