4000 bottles will be made. 50% new oak and 20% whole bunch with a little bit of press wine. This comes from sectors known as La Forge, Ballonge 2 and Plantation 2011. The first two are being top-grafted away from clonal material to make use of their own selection of pinot. Very dense purple black colour. There is a slight and not unattractive metallic aspect in the dark red fruit which I ascribe to iron oxide in the soil. This is very substantial on the palate and really fills out at the finish. A proper wine. 13.8% alcohol. Tasted: November 2021
